Dental prosthetic treatments Cluj
Prosthodontics is a branch of dentistry that offers solutions for replacing (prosthetic) tooth substance that has been partially lost, for example through advanced caries and dental fractures, or even lost completely through extractions. Prosthetic work can be fixed, when there are still connecting teeth so that work can be carried out that will be cemented onto the teeth neighbouring the edentulous space, or mobile, i.e. dentures. These works are carried out in the dental laboratory and require several stages to complete. The materials used are varied, depending on the therapeutic indication and the patient's wishes: metal, metal-composite, metal-ceramic, ceramic on zirconium or even all-ceramic.
Dr. Balog Anton being a specialist in dental prosthetics can perform the prosthetic treatment with the utmost rigour.

- Ceramic dental veneers;
- All-ceramic prosthetics - zirconia;
- All-ceramic crowns, Empress technique, InCeram, Feldspathic Ceramics;
- Metal-ceramic prosthetics - with ceramic threshold;
- Prosthetic work on implants;
- Skeletal prostheses - with special systems;
- Mobile prostheses.
The two major desiderata of prosthetic work are:
- The special aesthetics of the prosthetic work carried out is the main concern of Dr. Balog Anton, specialist in dental prosthetics;
- the health of the marginal periodontium or gingiva next to the prosthetic work;
- in our Dentosan Med office the preparation of teeth is done according to the specific preparation criteria for each type of work, and temporary prosthetic work done in the office or in the laboratory is mandatory.
Only the special and particular sanding of the teeth ensures the health of the periodontium, the dental crowns made by us having a precise limit, without invading the periodontal tissue, respecting the emergence area of the tooth.
- What are dentures?
- What are dentures made of?
As for the materials they are made of, the linings (the teeth on the dentures) can be made of plastic or porcelain. In the case of plastic, price dictates quality. As for the porcelain ones, they can crack or even break if you drop them and are a heavier idea than the plastic ones.
