Sterilisation of dental instruments
In our office Dentosan Med sterilization is one of the priorities of the office and is carried out according to the rules established by the Public Health Department:
- We use moist heat and dry heat to sterilize all handpieces and instruments in the practice
- We use gloves, masks, gowns, eye protection devices and other protective barrier tools and materials
- We use disinfecting solutions approved by the international specialist associations.

• members of the Dentosan Med medical team benefit from regular medical control tests, being constantly checked and guided in the strictest compliance with the rules imposed on the prevention and prevention of the spread of pathogens.
• Each member of the Dentosan Med medical team wears a gown, gloves, disposable mask, as well as protective goggles and visor.
• each patient benefits from a large number of disposable supplies: cups, saliva aspirator, working field, bib.
• every consultation kit and sterile instruments are unsealed in front of the patient.
• after each intervention the dental unit is cleaned and disinfected (chemical sterilisation).
• all surfaces of Dentosan Med cabinets (furniture-flooring) are rigorously cleaned with special solutions to eliminate viruses and bacteria.
• The instruments used on each patient are pre-sterilised in boxes of special solutions, then washed and placed in sterile disposable bags. Then sterilisation in the COMINOX Autoclave (class B) is completed with a date and time stamp.
The instrument cycle after use is as follows the next steps:
• Disinfection and decontamination in solutions recommended by the Ministry of Health;
• Manual cleaning and checking of instruments;
• Individually dried and packaged in single-use bags, each bag with indicators to check sterilisation;
• Sterilisation in the autoclave itself, which offers the safest sterilisation, complying with European standards EN 13060, the highest standard for sterilisation;
• Sterilisation dating on each bag;
• Storage of instruments in special compartments.
